Today, area rugs are available at prices from less than $100 to more than $100,000. They are available in every major mass-market distribution channel as well as in the traditional domains of department stores and oriental rug specialty. Top retailers gathered here for last week’s Impact conference on furniture, presented by HFN and High Points Magazine, said they are confident area rugs’ rapid growth will continue. And, they plan to cash in on the trend.

The first point that we need to consider is the location. It is best to place rug where its ends are placed under something sturdy that will keep it in place. A table is good to put on a rug but not corner sofas or a TV set. Be sure too that when placing the rug, it should not move or slide, but stays firmly in place.  The second point is that expensive rugs should be placed in a lower traffic area where less people will be walking on it. Easy-to-clean rugs, on the hand, can easily be situated in front of doorway.

At the end of the day, hard work will pay off with a beautiful home. Just don’t forget, that the best way to keep your house beautiful is keeping it clean. And don’t forget to clean the rugs.
